What does it mean to be a vulnerable leader?
It means having the courage to lead with kindness, curiosity & compassion.
The courage to have difficult conversations that provide clarity & build trust, connection & empathy.
The willingness to make & learn from our mistakes, bounce back from adversity & inspire others to do the same.
When we sit with our own vulnerability, we don’t need to be the smartest person in the room, have all the answers or allow our fears to become our armour.
Vulnerable leaders create a culture built on trust, where people feel valued, can depend on one another & feel their work has meaning.
To embrace vulnerable leadership we have to start with ourselves.
We must commit to our own growth & be prepared to work through our fears & insecurities with compassion & kindness.
Only then can we show up as the best version of ourselves, for ourselves & others.
